Today Guy is 8 weeks old. I can't believe how quickly it's gone by! He's gotten so big already and gets easier everyday. (Those gassy nights are slowing down a bit)
My thoughts on being a mother/having a baby:
I feel a new confidence, less self doubt. I feel I'm doing what I'm supposed to do. I don't have to think about the next big adventure, the next big project, I can just be. (And I have great company to just BE with) This isn't to say I don't worry about the future, money and some big questions about being a parent, but I suddenly don't care if everyone hears me singing off key, I don't feel like I have to talk/entertain unless I want too, etc.
My postnatal Bod is less than fit but it's getting better. Some days better than others, some days I think I'm going to stay fat and I'm doomed to have love handles forever. Other days I'm optimistic and feel great about doing lunges and lifting my pathetic 5 pound weights.

Thanksgiving was good. Bretts two brothers and their girlfriends along with Sally came out and we had dinner at his Uncle Dannys place. Dinner was delicious, Aarons girl Kaitlin really came through to help us out with our veggie thanksgiving. Scott, the youngest brother made the switch too, so we needed it to be convincing so we can keep him on our side. Muhahaha. Resist the bacon brussel sprouts!! Resist!

Ready for his walk.

John and Cassandra came out to visit for a weekend.

Move here in north Carolina. It's beauiful here. We love the seasons. Your only a few hours for the beach. It's a University vibe kind of time. they have farmers markets, and hippi clothes. And they have ME, Brandi, MATT and the girls. Come give it a try. Dont' go back to that hot hell hole, mesa.

C'mon. Carolina should be on your mind. It's a good place to raise your kids. Not crazy crowded. Mild weather, job opportunities, hiking, fishing, bike trails, golf, beach within a few hours. I think you'd really like it.

I'm thinking EV is moving back just so she can be around Me. At least that is what I tell myself.

Yup kids change your focus. I read recently a quote that made me laugh. It was a wife who said that their kids were sent to them to "make Christians out of us." So true.

Can't wait to see the boy. He's gotten so big!

I love all the pictures! What fun family can be!
It will be nice to have Guy near his Grandmas and cousins, and Aunts and Uncles! Love to you all!

The best part of having a newborn is to just sit and rock him. And like you said "just be", yes, enjoy the moment, these moments go by fast!

I can hardly wait to hold little Guy. He is soooo
cute. I can see he has grown. Babies grow fast.
It usually took me a year to loose my "baby fat"!
It looks like you all had a fun Thanksgiving.
